Approved Production Operator

The Approved Production Operator, plays a vital role within JASCO Heat Treating, Inc. The Operator/Straighter is the production interface, with the Salt Line Operators, Shipping/Receiving, and Production Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Place parts on graphite stone to measure the tolerance of distortion.
  • Examines work for straightness using a straight edge and/or dial indicator and feeler gauge.
  • Wipes broaches off with a damp rag for straightening.
  • Rewires or fixtures for the tempering process.
  • Straightens hot pieces with a manual press.
  • Straightens cold pieces by using a peener.
  • Uses a torch to Straighten.
  • Sets up completed straightening work for final stress relieving.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at 18 years of age and a US Citizen.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to remain focused in a busy environment.

Experience:

  • At least 12 months of solid work history.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must lift and move up to 20 pounds at a time.
  • High noise density due to peening.
  • Exposure to dust and fumes.
